Type 2 Diabetes on Metformin
The purpose of the study is to determine the safety and effectiveness of a once weekly injectable investigational drug, versus placebo, for adults with type 2 diabetes inadequately controlled with metformin alone or in combination with other antidiabetic drugs such as glimepiride, glyburide or glipizide. The study will last up to 39 weeks with up to 10 clinic visits and 2 telephone contacts. Qualified participants will receive study-related care and medication at no cost, and may be compensated for study-related time and travel.
