Thank you for your interest in our clinical research study. I would like to give you some initial information about the study. Please feel free to stop me if you have any questions. This study is sponsored by a pharmaceutical company. The purpose of the study is to determine the safety and effectiveness of an oral investigational drug, vs. placebo, in reducing heavy menstrual bleeding associated with uterine fibroids. The study will last up to 84 weeks with up to 13 clinic visits and 5 telephone contacts. While in the study, your study-related investigational drug, lab work and procedures are provided at no charge.
